I’m always on the lookout for fat-burning supplements that deliver on the weight loss promise and, at first glance, the one from Shredz might be promising. So, is it actually as effective as proven options? Join me as I thoroughly analyze this supplement to find out!
Shredz Fat Burner
Overall Rating: 3/5
What is Shredz Burner?
Burner is a fat-burning supplement by Shredz, designed specifically for women. Most of its promises — like boosted metabolism and higher energy levels — are in line with what one would expect from a fat burner. The big question is, does it have the ingredients to back these claims?
A quick glance at its composition shows that it does have some rather well-known weight loss ingredients like Green tea extract, Biotin, and especially Caffeine. But, it also discloses the lack of a proper hunger suppressant in its formula.
An appetite blocker like Glucomannan would fit the bill perfectly here since it restricts your hunger by making you feel fuller for longer — allowing you to easily maintain your calorie deficit. Plus, Glucomannan’s inclusion in more popular fat burners like Leanbean and Capsiplex Trim only strengthens its validity.
With that said, here’s the ingredients that are present in Shredz Burner:

Ingredients
Shredz fat burner for women contains 11 different ingredients in its formula.
Caffeine Anhydrous — 135 mg
Caffeine is one of the most popular weight loss ingredients in fat burners and for good reason. The most significant benefit of Caffeine consumption is that it boosts your natural energy expenditure. This, in turn, signals your body to compensate by converting fat into energy — leading to noticeably faster weight loss.
This also has the benefit of making you feel more energetic. You can utilize this extra energy to spend more time in the gym and further accelerate your weight loss progress.
Green tea extract — 62.5 mg
A major component of Green tea extract is Caffeine and — as we just discussed — it is highly effective at promoting weight loss. Other than that, Green tea also contains a compound called Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Studies show that regular intake of EGCG by women boosts the secretion of leptin; a hormone that regulates your body weight in the long term.
Cayenne pepper powder — 59.5 mg
The most notable component of Cayenne pepper extract is Capsaicin. It’s a popular weight-loss ingredient that boosts the natural fat oxidation rate of your system. This allows your body to burn more fat throughout the day, no matter if you’re working out or sitting still.
Though, a major issue I see with Shredz Burner is that it does not contain enough Capsaicin to show consistent results. The Cayenne pepper in its formula contains only 0.25% Capsaicin.
A more abundant source of this compound would’ve been Capsimax powder found in other supplements like PhenQ, as it has a Capsaicin concentration of 2%.
Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL — 50 mg
Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL helps your body convert fatty acids into energy by moving these acids into your cells. Due to this interaction, it is believed that L-Carnitine supplementation can increase fat metabolism. These benefits were confirmed in a 2016 meta-analysis which demonstrated how L-Carnitine intake promotes weight loss in obese individuals.
Alpha Lipoic acid — 50 mg
Alpha Lipoic acid supplementation can lead to weight loss. A 2017 meta-analysis of 10 different studies showed how Alpha Lipoic acid intake reduced only 2.6 pounds (1.2 kg) of body weight after four months of use. A later 2018 meta-analysis reached a similar conclusion and demonstrated the positive effect of Alpha Lipoic acid on both BMI and body weight. Plus, the branded version of this ingredient — a-Lacey Recet — we see in other supplements like PhenQ is even more effective at reducing weight.
Choline Bitartrate — 50 mg
Choline is an essential nutrient that plays a key role in fat transport and metabolism. Its deficiency can also cause weight gain and fat buildup in your liver. Fortunately, taking Choline supplements can counteract this deficiency and reverse its symptoms. Studies also show how regular Choline intake can lead to rapid weight loss without any side effects.
Yohimbe Bark extract — 25 mg
Yohimbe Bark does not have any scientifically-proven weight loss benefits. There is some research on this ingredient but the results are very mixed.
A 1991 study showed how Yohimbe Bark supplementation can promote weight loss in obese women. However, I also found an earlier 1986 study that demonstrated the lack of correlation between Yohimbe and weight loss. This lack of concrete evidence is why Yohimbe Bark is not our top pick for weight loss ingredients.
Guggul extract — 20 mg
According to a 1995 study, regular Guggul extract intake can reduce body weight. The study tested its effects on 58 obese individuals for 30 days. After the test period, the subjects taking Guggul supplementation displayed an average weight reduction of five pounds.
Pantothenic acid — 5mg
Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) intake can boost fat metabolism in your system. This is because it’s used to make coenzyme A. This compound then helps the creation of enzymes that break down fatty acids and accelerate their metabolism.
Biotin — 500 mcg
Biotin supplementation can boost the rate of fat metabolism in your body. This can help you lose excess weight faster with the same diet and workout routine.
What we didn't find
I’ve already discussed the lack of an effective hunger suppressant like Glucomannan that’s abundant in alternatives like Capsiplex Trim and Leanbean. Dieting is a major part of weight loss and hunger suppressants like this make that process much easier.
Other than that, I would’ve also liked to see an ingredient that prevents future weight gain to maintain your weight loss progress. Something like Nopal Cactus — found in fat burners like PhenQ — would be a good choice as it prevents weight gain caused by your diet. Nopal Cactus achieves this by binding itself to dietary fats and stopping them from getting absorbed during digestion.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Cons
Side Effects
Shredz does not provide any information about the safety of its Burner supplement for women. From my analysis, it does not contain any obviously problematic substance, but I would still recommend practicing caution when using this supplement.
Make sure to read its list of ingredients completely to confirm that you’re not allergic to any of its components. Plus, I don’t suggest the use of Shredz — or most other fat burning supplements — if you’re under the age of 18, pregnant, nursing, or taking prescribed medication for a major illness.
Top Alternatives
I recommend checking out the following alternatives if you’re looking for effective fat-burning supplements for women. Each one of them contains some of the most well-known weight loss ingredients — like Caffeine and Grains of Paradise — to ensure fast and consistent results. These supplements also offer notable unique benefits to their users. PhenQ, for example, can prevent future weight gain. Similarly, Capsiplex Trim and Leanbean can eliminate the cravings for unhealthy, carb-filled snacks.
The key features of these alternatives are:
Final Thoughts
Despite its somewhat positive first impression, I don’t give Shredz fat burner my highest recommendation for women. It has the right idea with ingredients like Caffeine and Cayenne pepper. But, the amounts of these ingredients are either so high that they cause side effects or too low to show any results. Not to mention components like Yohimbe Bark that lack any conclusive scientific evidence.
Instead, I suggest checking out the alternatives I’ve mentioned above if you want fat burners that are worth your time and money.
